BFM 89.9 started in September 2008, right in the middle of the global financial crisis. Since then, the station has evolved to become the leading business and current affairs radio station in Greater Kuala Lumpur. Their purpose is to build a better Malaysia through championing inclusiveness, rational discourse and good governance. The station applies its discourse-based approach across various topics including entrepreneurship, health, fashion, the arts, sports and music. BFM broadcasts in English and Bahasa Malaysia and joined CRM in 2008.
